In our professional practice subject we then then discussed how a mood board can portray the style and aesthetic of your collection. This is quite different from a concept board in the way that it does not necessarily communicate your concept. It shows the mood that you are trying to achieve in your collection through colours and pictures that create an emotional response from the viewer. In my mood board I wanted to evoke the moods behind the words describing my style as well as my concept of "Kalopsia" . I wanted to show playful colours and textures along with geometric structures and directional lines. Some of the textures show an underlying sense of decay and rawness. There is an eclectic mix of patterns which also portrays an overload of imagery and excess. Beauty can also be sensed.
